Hoopla :

Hoopla Club continues to function for students of primary school (Class I-IV), providing various exposure and training in cognitive and motor skills. Activities like pot making(on a potter's wheel) and kite making and flying are some of the activities which has caught the attention of students and they really seem to be enjoying it.


School Cinema :

School Cinema is a film-based learning module for the students from classes 1 to 4,combined with a fun and exciting film workbook, which uses a language and a medium that children are familiar with, to subtly and indirectly influence their minds and their actions on varied subjects. The topics range from environmental awareness, to nationalism and to personal issues like hygiene, and understanding one's body. It aims to influence young minds in school into making better choices for themselves as young adults and at the same time, instill values and a basic sense of the difference between right & wrong. That children will grow in this concept and live up to these values is a fond hope and request to the parents to nurture those values at home as well.


Spark Academy :

Personality Development and Literary activities are conducted by the SPARK Academy, for the students of middle and high school. This programme is being received well by the students. It enhances soft skills and provides a holistic development.


Yardstick :

Practical understanding of concepts through hands-on activity in science is the very essence of Yardstick."Everything begins with a Y " (why?). This programme has designed model-making and experiments wherein every child gets an opportunity to get involved and learn the concepts through his/her own work. This programme is for students of class V-IX.



Mindspark :

Learning Mathematics comes with a certain degree of apprehension, but the introduction of Mindspark for the students of classes 1 to 4, has brought about a remarkable change in the students who have now mastered addition, multiplication and much more with great ease. Mindspark is a computer based self learning programme allowing a child to learn at his/her own pace, improving skills in Maths. The introduction of this tool has been widely appreciated by both parents and students as it has helped in clearing concepts and building strong fundamentals.


Abacus :

Abacus is a fun tool that allows you to to do math mentally. This amazing calculating machine teaches you to manipulate numbers, the correlation of the digits and develop a good understanding of the basic math operations- addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Understanding decimals, exponents and square roots is very easy with abacus. The introduction of this amazing calculating machine has fostered in the students of classes 1 to 4 a great sense of numbers and has provided a sense of achievement as proficiency improves.


Competitive exams :

Students are encouraged to take part in ASSET, NSTSE & IAIS Examinations every year. These additional tests of skill and competency are held to help the child assess his/her knowledge level,clear various misconceptions which are hurdles to learning.They also provide an exposure to the students and equip them with skills needed to face such examinations in the future.


Music/Band :
"Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."

Students look forward to the music classes every week with great enthusiasm. Not only does it give those musically inclined students a means of learning about a field that might lead to a career, but also it helps all students have a positive, safe outlet for their emotions, provides a vehicle for self-expression, builds confidence and camaraderie among students.


Taekwondo :

As part of co-curricular activities,Taekwondo is an option for interested students at Carmel. It is one of the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts, which teaches more than mere physical fighting skills.It is a discipline which shows ways of enhancing our spirit and life through training our body and mind.

Many Carmelites have actively participated in this sport and have excelled at the State, National and International levels.



Students encounter challenges especially during their growing years. Counselling services are available at school , helping students deal with dilemmas and empower them to overcome obstacles and seize opportunities.
